Pukekohe Intermediate School
“We are really glad with the outcome and pleased we chose Urban Effects for the grandstand and Allan for the installation.”
Rebekah Pearson, Principal
Pukekohe Intermediate School in Auckland wanted to create a vibrant, multipurpose outdoor space that encouraged healthy activity and provided a place for students and the school community to come together.
As part of their upgrade, the school planned to install new surfacing on their existing court area and looked to Urban Effects to complete the transformation with durable, functional, and safe spectator seating.
We worked directly with the school from the outset, visiting the site to measure and photograph the proposed space before submitting CAD renders and a detailed quote. With the design approved, the school engaged a trusted local installer, Allan Zohs, on our recommendation to ensure the project was delivered smoothly.
The result was the installation of four New Zealand-made Metro 3-Tier Grandstands (each 6 metres long), creating a versatile and robust seating solution alongside the new court. The aluminium grandstands, with their lifetime structural warranty and vandal-proof construction, provide the school with low-maintenance, long-lasting seating that will serve their students for years to come.
The combination of the resurfaced basketball court and the new grandstands has completely revitalised the area, giving students a welcoming space to play, stay active, and support their peers.
