Papatakohe Park

Known as “The Town of Trees and Champions”, Cambridge has added a new achievement to its record books with the opening of Papatakohe Park, which features the largest playground in the Waipā region. The impressive site, located in 3MS Development’s Bridleways Estate, has become a destination for the local community to gather, play and connect.

Urban Effects supplied a suite of high-quality outdoor furniture that has helped make Papatakohe not just a place to play, but a thriving social hub.

Working alongside landscape architects Line and Design, Urban Effects delivered a cohesive suite of outdoor furniture tailored to the park’s ‘play and stay’ vision. Every piece was carefully selected and positioned to complement the park’s layout, encourage longer visits, and support community use.

Along the park’s circling paths, Eden Deluxe Seats offer natural spots to pause, rest and take in the surroundings, while striking yellow Bellitalia Cuddly Benches show that fun and creativity doesn’t end in the playground. Urban Effects also provided two Hydrate 002 Accessible Fountains so that everyone kids can stay refreshed.

Near the playground, two Neo Shelters offer shade and sightlines for carers, while also housing two energy-efficient, user-friendly Urban 1200 Single Electric BBQs. Paired with Deluxe Pedestal Tables from our Woodlands range, it’s the ideal space for weekend barbecues.

Eight Circle Bike Racks are dotted throughout the park, adding to the list of furniture and amenities making this a space that brings people together and celebrates community at every turn.
