Craigavon Park, Auckland

Surrounded by established trees and generous green space, Craigavon Park is a popular Auckland destination for families to play, gather and enjoy time outdoors.

Working with Auckland Council, Urban Effects supplied a customised arrangement of Legend Curved Table Settings and Legend Curved Benches to create a comfortable place to sit and connect alongside the playground.

Situated beneath a large shade structure, the curved furniture works naturally with the shape of the space. Its flowing form follows the curve of the shade above, while the combination of powdercoated frames and timber slats complements the surrounding woodland and grassed areas.

The flexibility of the Legend Collection made it easy to configure the furniture to suit the site, creating a cohesive setting rather than a series of standalone pieces.

The furniture continues the park’s natural design language beyond the playground, creating an inviting place for parents, caregivers and visitors to pause, connect and enjoy the surroundings.

Importantly, it also supports the way families use the wider playspace. Comfortable seating, shade, and places to gather give people more reason to stay while children play – helping create a more welcoming destination for the whole family.
